This release fits boards that have an attachment screw span of approx. 1". 

The release works off a calibrated magnetic force that allows the release to hold when you want it to hold and release when you want it to release. 

The release will work with tattle flags with one small modification to the board. See our YouTube channel for directions. 

Your boards will require a pinned rear clip to work. 

Examples of boards this release will fit include Offshore, Yellowbird, Opti Tackle, XPS, Gator, and any other that has two attachment screws or bolts approx. 1"apart. 

All wide base releases come with the required mounting hardware for the Offshore boards. Drilling of the original aluminum rivets is required.  

This release is designed to be used with standard braid or mono. It will not support lead core or copper lines. You should use the HEAVY releases for those setups

I struggled to keep them from randomly releasing at 2 mph with 5color leadcore. Watched the videos dnd proper set-up. They do release easily when I want to trip them was just not sure what I can do to keep them from randomly releasing from small waves, turns, etc. I am using 50 lb braids backing and attachment.

These releases were not designed to handle lead core. They should only be used with standard braid or mono. Please reach out to us for a solution to the issue.

Tested two offshore walleye boards every time. Next is two salmon boards which Im confident will work for 10 color and 300 WS

Excellent build quality on the MagRelease! Hands down the best planer release I've used for braided line. Very straightforward to set up on your board. Extremely easy to use as well. These things hold very well and they do not slip at all on braid! I can't recommend enough
